Some Comments on Comments

I thought it would be a good idea to establish a few guidelines for comments.

  1. PLEASE COMMENT!!! I enjoy writing this blog, but I kind of feel like I’m just sitting here talking to myself at times…and that isn’t the best thing for my self esteem.  Also, this blog becomes more enriching and rewarding for all of us if there is interaction.  Tell me when I’m wrong, or when you disagree, or when you agree WHY you agree, or thoughts for a related article or blog topic.
  2. Keep a civil tone. Thoughtful, passionate discussions are a wonderful things, but as soon as it turns into character attacks or “flaming”, I will be banning people or closing comments on the matter entirely.
  3. No profanity. I realize that in one of my posts I used “Make an ASS out of you and me”.  Comments like these I don’t mind, it’s when the language becomes unnecessarily crude, mean spirited or just plain offensive.

Let me know if you have any other recommendations for comments.

God bless.

  1. Hello Neil. I just want to let you know that I am reading, and that I find your posts fascinating. You are blessed with the ability to write.

Others are reading, too. It may take some time to develop a thriving community of regular comments, but rest assured that your archive of posts are original and insightful.

If nothing else, the body of work you are accumulating here is a testament to your own personal journey that you can look back on appreciate in years to come.

    All the best,

    Jered

    • Thank you for the encouragement Jared. It is greatly appreciated. I really liked the layout of your blog by the way, very cool sliding format with the pictures. What blogging provider are you using?
