Some Bible verses to remember when…

You know what I mean?  When things go really wrong, what verses give you comfort?  Here are a few of mine:

Proverbs 3:5-6 – Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not in your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight.

Matthew 28:20 – …I am with you always, even until the end of the age.

Philippians 4:6-7 – Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.  And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 1:7 – For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.

Psalm 27:1 – The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the defense of my life; Whom shall I dread?

What verses do you turn to?  What verses give you courage?  What verses give your perseverance?  What verses give you comfort?  What verses put things in perspective?
